Kee football team comes up just short, 58-54, in district offensive shoot-out at West Central

The Kee football team found itself in an offensive slugfest during its District 4 battle at West Central of Maynard Friday, October 3, combining with the host Blue Devils to rack up 880 yards and light up the scoreboard with 112 points. Each team scored eight touchdowns, with West Central making good on five two-point conversions while Kee converted just three of those two-point tries for the final scoreboard difference, but it was one last Blue Devil scoring drive followed by a staunch defensive stand that delivered the knock-out punch for the 58-54 Kee loss. With a 4-2 overall record, 2-2 in district play, the Hawks will return home to host Springville this Friday, October 10. The Orioles hold a 2-4 overall record that includes a mark of 1-3 in Eight-Player District 4, that lone district win for Springville coming this past Friday, October 3 at home over Central City by a 48-20 final result.
