Kee girls basketball will benefit in 2014-2015 season from group of five letterwinners and youthful athleticism

The Kee girls basketball team will feature just one senior for the 2014-2015 season but will look to benefit from the return of five varsity letterwinners that helped produce a 12-9 overall record last season. Three juniors and one sophomore complete that list of varsity veteran returnees for a small and overall young squad of 16 players made up of the letterwinning senior and juniors, seven sophomores and five freshmen.

“We have a small group, but it’s a hard working group,” third-year Kee girls basketball head coach Dan Love commented. “They are a pleasure to work with every day. They push each other to improve and all 16 are hungry for minutes and wins.”

This year’s lone senior is Molly Walleser, last season’s second leading rebounder, but team leader in offensive boards. “We will look to Molly to give us more of the solid defense and rebounding we got from her last year,” Coach Love said. “She does a nice job on the offensive and defensive glass, and we’ll benefit from her playing experience from last year.”
