Lloyd Miller

Lloyd Henry “Buddy” Miller, 82, of Waukon died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Funeral Services were held Monday, April 20 at the United Methodist Church, Lansing, with Rev. Kevin Smith as the Officiant. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing with full military honors.
Lloyd was born June 25, 1932 to Lloyd Charles and Myrtle Manilla (Bechtel) Miller in La Crosse, WI. Buddy was baptized and attended elementary school at Blessed Sacrament Church and attended Aquinas High School in La Crosse, WI.
Lloyd served his country honorably in the U.S. Army for ten years. He dearly loved his experiences in the military, which included time spent in South Korea and Europe. Buddy was a member of the VFW in Lansing.
Buddy was united in marriage with Wilma Marguerite Phipps October 16, 1971 in Lansing. A few years later he went to work in the maintenance department at the Button Factory in Lansing. He and Wilma were godparents to Lauren Stone of Waukon.  Most of all, Buddy loved spending time with all of his relatives.
Buddy is survived by a sister, Joan Wostal of Baraboo, WI; his nephews, Terry (Margi) Wostal of Baraboo, WI and Brad (Linda) Morse of Onalaska, WI; and his nieces, Donna (Bill) Netwal of Twin Cities, MN and Linda (Roger) Hauser of La Crosse, WI. Also mourning his loss are special friends and relatives, Neil and Jackie Everett of Lansing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma, January 19, 2015; his parents; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Fern and Frank Koelbl and Jacqueline and Ed Morse.
