The Kee girls track team ended up with just one date of competition this past week, finishing in a ninth-place tie in the large, 11-team North Fayette Valley Invitational Thursday, April 23. Mother Nature claimed the Hawks’ other scheduled event, postponing the Hawks’ own home invitational slated for Tuesday, April 21 until May 11.
The Hawks scored points in seven different events at Thursday’s North Fayette Valley meet, tallying 20 team points to finish in a ninth-place tie with Oelwein in the 11-team field. Kee’s highest finishes on the day came from a pair of top-five finishes, one each in individual and relay events.
The Hawks were scheduled to take part in the Clayton Ridge Invitational Tuesday, April 28 before traveling to the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 30. Kee will then compete at Edgewood-Colesburg Monday, May 4 before participating in the Upper Iowa Conference Meet Thursday, May 7 hosted by West Central High School but taking place at North Fayette Valley in West Union.
