Arrests made after investigation into sexual abuse allegations

The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Department recently concluded its investigation into allegations of sexual abuse by a Waukon couple that had occurred over time in rural Allamakee County.
Hans William Christianson of Waukon, age 33, has been charged with two counts of Third Degree Sexual Abuse (a class C felony), four counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor - Cause to Engage in Act (a class C felony) and ten counts of Second Degree Sexual Abuse (a class B felony). His wife, Sarah Paige Christianson, age 24, has been charged with ten counts of Third Degree Sexual Abuse. After their arrests, bond was set at $50,000 for Sarah Christianson and $150,000 for Hans Christianson. Both were later released after posting ten percent of their bond amounts.
Affidavits from the arresting officers allege that Hans Christianson had sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl on two occasions in September of 2001. The affidavits also allege that from 2012 until July of 2014 he encouraged a juvenile male, age 13 to 14 at the time of the incidents, to have sex with Sarah Christianson, then his girlfriend, who he then married in July of 2014. Hans Christianson allegedly made video recordings of these incidents and asked the juvenile male to watch the recordings with him.
The affidavits further allege that from approximately 2007 to 2011, Hans Christianson forced a juvenile girl, from the age of seven to eleven at the time, to perform oral sex on him on at least ten different occasions and that he performed oral sex on her on a couple of occasions.
