Miller, Schmelzer to wed June 27

Karli Miller and Jason Schmelzer of Calmar are happy to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 27 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar. A reception and dance will follow at Echo Valley Banquet and Reception Center in West Union.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Don and Judy Miller of Postville. She graduated from John R. Mott High School in 2008 and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Corrections from Hawkeye Community College in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology from Upper Iowa University in 2012.  She is currently employed by Northeast Iowa Community Action working as a Family Development and Self Sufficiency Specialist.
The groom-elect is the son of Darrell and Deb Schmelzer of Ossian. He graduated from South Winneshiek High School in 2007 and earned an Automotive/Diesel and Industrial Technology diploma, as well as an Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Diesel and Industrial Technology  with Daimler Trucks Finish First from Universal Technical Institute in 2009.  He is currently employed by Truck Country working as a diesel mechanic.
