Waukon, Kee Speech programs advance performances to State Contest this Saturday

The Kee and Waukon High School Speech Departments have each advanced several teams to the State Large Group Speech Contest to be hosted this Saturday, February 6 by Waterloo West High School. The qualifying teams each earned a I rating at the District Speech competition held Saturday, January 23 at Waukon High School.

Kee High School will advance six teams to the State Large Group competition this Saturday. Those teams include the following:
One Act Play: Ethan Walleser, MaKayla Manning, Sam Meiners, Emily Benzing and Chandler Quirk.
Improvisation: Tom Martin, Spencer Colsch, Aubreanna McQuade and Courtney Cooper.
Radio Broadcasting TRUE 92.2: Tom Martin, Aubreanna McQuade, Anthony Martin and Nikki Wood.
Short Film: Annika Stahl, Barbara Servera-Cardona, Chandler Quirk, Cheldyn Stanley, Jack Mooney, Mikey Mitchell and Nikki Wood.
Mime: Sam Meiners, Emily Benzing, Allison Colsch and MaKayla Manning.
Mime: Casey Welsh, Claudia Mathis, Alivia Krambeer and Barbara Servera-Cardona.

Waukon High School will also advance six teams to the State Large Group competition this Saturday. Those teams include the following:
One Act Play: Adam Gruman, Matt Hoins, Emily Brown, Emily Hammel, Courtney Hanson and Tyler O'Neill.
Ensemble Acting: Dolan Jones, Kaia Johanningmeier and Katelyn Leiran.
Radio News Broadcasting: Zach Troendle, Emily Brown, Dolan Jones, Nathan Smith and Sean Liddiard.
Television News: Kaia Johanningmeier, Nathan Smith, Katelyn Leiran, Carley Sweeney, Abe Schwartz, Morgan Van Ruler, Bailey Mathis, Autumn Johnson, Lexi Scherf, Emy Dehli, Mackenzie Johanningmeier and Jess Klocke.
Group Improvisation: Kameron Klinge, Erika Johnson and Brooke Wasson.
Short Film: Madison Snitker.
