The Kee softball team continued its undefeated season with five more victories to its credit this past week, allowing just one run to score in the process. Improving to 13-0 overall, 6-0 in the Upper Iowa Conference (UIC), the Lady Hawks played Class 3A Crestwood to just a 2-1 victory Tuesday, June 6 in between a pair of UIC doubleheader sweeps. Those sweeps both came in mercy-rule fashion, Kee blasting Starmont at home Monday, June 5, 12-0 in four innings and 10-0 in six frames, and doing likewise at West Central Thursday, June 8 by scores of 10-0 in five innings and 12-0 in four periods.

The Hawks were scheduled to next play doubleheaders at North Fayette Valley Monday, June 12 and at Edgewood-Colesburg Wednesday, June 14 before playing in the West Delaware Tournament both Friday and Saturday, June 16-17. Kee’s diamond dwellers will then play at Central Elkader Monday, June 19 before competing in the Decorah Tournament Saturday, June 24.
