Darlene Yeoman

Darlene Yeoman, 85, of Lansing died Friday, October 12, 2018 at Thornton Manor, Lansing. Funeral Service was held Monday, October 15 at United Methodist Church, Lansing with Rev. Sedar Wembonyama as the officiant. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing.

Darlene was born April 1, 1933 to John and Elsie (Hayes) Pohlman in New Albin. She graduated New Albin High School in 1951. June 4, 1953, Darlene was united in marriage with Gene Yeoman at United Methodist Church in New Albin. Three daughters were born to this union, Ruth, Shirley and Nancy. Darlene worked 40 years at Lansing Company. She was a member of Eastern Star.

Darlene enjoyed traveling with friends, road trips, playing Bingo, attending church suppers and taking bus trips. Darlene was an avid sports fan, and was especially fond of watching her children and grandchildren play. She was also a big supporter of Kee High. Darlene’s great joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her three daughters, Ruth (Darrell) Peters of Lansing, Shirley (Cyril) Mathis of Buffalo City, WI and Nancy Yeoman of Ettrick, WI; six grandchildren, Andrew (Tiffanie) Peters, Mike (Molly) Peters, Jessica (Matt) Hoth, Jared (Sarah) Mathis, Bree (Jason) Lee and Kaysey Lehrke; and 11 great-grandchildren, Lewis and Edward Peters, Sam, Drew and Ava Peters, Shay and Maren Mathis, Alayna and Ember Lee, and Sage and Kai Hoth. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, December 20, 2013; her parents, John and Elsie Pohlman; and an infant sister, Josephine.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing assisted the family with the arrangements.
