Philip Storla

Philip Storla, 88, of Waukon died Friday, November 2, 2018 at his home. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 7 at 1 p.m. at Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah with Pastor Stacey Nalean-Carlson officiating and burial at Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services at the church Wednesday. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements.

Philip Orville Ruen Storla was born July 8, 1930 in rural Waukon, the son of Olvin Peter and Stella Irene (Ruen) Storla. He was baptized and confirmed at Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah and graduated from Waukon High School in 1948. Phil has lived on the family farm in Glenwood Township, rural Waukon his entire life, where he milked cows and raised crops, beef cattle, chickens, pigs and sheep. Phil sold eggs for several years and enjoyed visiting with his customers. He was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church.
