Waukon boys basketball team suffers pair of Northeast Iowa Conference losses at home to Crestwood and Waverly-SR

The Waukon boys basketball team remained in search of its first Northeast Iowa Conference win of the season, coming close to accomplishing that feat on two occasions this past week but coming up just a couple baskets shy of doing so in the closing minutes. The Indians first had a comeback effort come up five points shy in a 56-51 home loss to an undefeated Crestwood team Tuesday, December 11 before having a late lead slip away at home in a 58-54 home loss to Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, December 14.

The Indians were next scheduled to finish off the 2018 portion of their schedule with a road game at Decorah Friday, December 21 prior to the holiday break. The hardcourt Tribe will return from the break with a January 4 home game against Charles City before playing at Wartburg College Saturday, January 5.
