The Waukon High School Music Department is seeking donations for new high school marching band and concert band uniforms through an “Adopt a Uniform” campaign. The current marching band uniforms were purchased in 1997 and are in need of replacement following years of usage and alterations.

The Allamakee Community School District and the Allamakee Music Boosters will each be providing one-third of the funding for the uniform replacement project, leaving a final third of the total cost to be raised through the “Adopt-a-Uniform” donation drive. Donation levels for specific pieces of the uniforms being sought are listed below in the accompanying donation form below, but any donation amount would be welcome.

Waukon High School band members have reviewed numerous styles and sample uniforms and voted on their selection. Their selected favorite uniform features an orange and black ensemble and is pictured in the photo at right, modeled by Waukon High School senior band member Micah Treptau. The concert band uniforms selected are black tuxedos and formal dresses.

In order to have these uniforms guaranteed for the 2019 school year, the uniforms would need to be ordered by February 1, 2019. Those who are willing to donate to the “Adopt a Uniform” campaign are asked to fill out the form below and submit it and their intended donation as directed. For more information, contact Jo Ann Sherman, director of bands at Waukon High School, by calling the high school office at 563-568-3466.
