Kee girls basketball team adds another win to early-season undefeated streak in Upper Iowa Conference play with 54-11 shutdown of North Fayette Valley

The Kee girls basketball team put together its best defensive effort of the season, and one of its best ever, in bringing home a 54-11 victory from North Fayette Valley in West Union Tuesday, December 18. The Lady Hawks limited the host TigerHawks to no more than six points in any of the game’s four quarters, shutting them down completely in a 16-0 second period to improve to 7-1 on the season and remain undefeated at 6-0 in UIC play.

The Kee girls were also scheduled to finish off the 2018 portion of their schedule with a very busy final week on the road before the holiday break, playing at De Soto, WI Thursday, December 20 and at MFL/MarMac Friday, December 21, but those two games were played after the early print deadline of this week’s edition of The Standard due to the holidays and will appear in a future edition. The Lady Hawks will return to action after the holidays with a weekend double-dip, playing at West Central Friday, January 4 and then at Mabel-Canton, MN Saturday, January 5.
