Kee girls basketball team suffers first loss in Upper Iowa Conference play prior to holiday break, wins three other games to help book-end that recess

The Kee girls basketball team played a pair of busy book-ends to the holiday break, winning three of four games that were spread evenly on each side of the new year. The basketball Lady Hawks split the first half of that book-end competition, winning at De Soto, WI, 58-24, Thursday, December 20 before suffering their first loss in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play since the 2016-2017 season, 47-28, to a yet undefeated MFL/MarMac squad Friday, December 21 prior to the holiday break. When the Kee girls returned to the court, they also returned to their winning ways, sweeping back-to-back games with wins of 63-17 at West Central Friday, January 4 and 51-33 at Mabel-Canton, MN Saturday, January 5.

Now holding a 10-2 record on the season, including a 7-1 mark in UIC play, the Lady Hawks were next scheduled to play host to South Winneshiek Tuesday, January 8 and then Postville Friday, January 11. The Kee girls will then play at Clayton Ridge Tuesday, January 15.
