Waukon wrestling team swept at Decorah double-dual, 10th at Flanagan Invite

The Waukon wrestling team returned from its holiday break with a busy latter half of the first week of the new year. The mat Indians first wrestled in a double-dual at Decorah Thursday, January 3, falling to both Decorah, 57-18, and Sparta, WI, 58-24. The wrestling Tribe then competed at the annual Flanagan Invitational hosted by Crestwood High School in Cresco Saturday, January 5, finishing 10th in the final 11-team standings of that tournament event.

The wrestling Tribe was next scheduled to wrestle at Caledonia, MN Friday, January 11 before competing in the Decorah Tournament Saturday, January 12. The Indians will then take on both Waverly-Shell Rock and Charles City at Waverly Thursday, January 17 before competing in the Riceville Tournament Saturday, January 19.
