Caleb Colsch

Caleb Ryan Colsch, 15, of New Albin passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 near Brownsville, MN from injuries sustained in a car accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Albin with Rev. John Moser as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Albin. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22 from 3-8 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center, New Albin and one hour before Mass at the church Wednesday.

Caleb was born April 11, 2003 in La Crosse, WI. He was the son of Ryan Colsch and Nichole (Nathan) Darling, all of New Albin. Caleb was a sophomore at Kee High School in Lansing. In school, he enjoyed participating in football and track. In Caleb’s free time he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and rock collecting. He was a quiet and reserved person, but always loved making people laugh. He had a love of all animals, but especially his dog, Onyx. He also liked anything related to mechanical activities, whether it be snowmobiling, four-wheeling, cars or trucks.

Caleb is survived by his parents, Ryan Colsch and Nichole (Nathan) Darling,  all of New Albin; two siblings, Jackson and Gabrielle Darling, both at home; his paternal grandparents, Roger and Mary Kay Colsch; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Judy Rochester, Barb Rochester, and Tony and Lori Darling; his great-grandparents,  Clarence Rochester and Ruth Feuerhelm; his aunts and uncles, Jamie (Becky) Colsch, Scott (Kelly) Colsch, Aaron Colsch, Jason (Lynn) Rochester, Ryan (Casi) Rochester, Dustin (Anna) Darling and Kaylee (Hunter Fink) Darling; as well as many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Joseph and Kathleen Becker, Robert and Lucille Colsch, Joanne Rochester, Neuman and Betty Stegen, Lee Feuerhelm and Jug Darling; and one aunt, Breanne Darling.
