Waukon boys basketball team falls victim to 15 three-pointers fi red in by Oelwein in suffering 76-55 Northeast Iowa Conference loss at home

The Waukon boys basketball team’s only scheduled game of this past week was actually played a day earlier than originally scheduled due to anticipated winter weather Friday, January 18. Instead, the basketball Tribe hosted Oelwein Thursday, January 17 in a Northeast Iowa Conference match-up, falling victim to a hot-shooting Husky squad that canned 15 threepoint baskets on the night from six different sources in running away with a 76-55 Indian defeat.

Now holding a 4-9 season record, the basketball Tribe was next scheduled to play at Crestwood Tuesday, January 22 and then at Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, January 25. The Indians will then play at Spring Grove, MN Monday, January 28 before hosting Prairie du Chien, WI Tuesday, January 29 and then playing at Charles City Friday, February 1.
