Kee girls track team places second at Clayton Ridge, wins MFL Invitational

The Kee girls track team competed on a pair of fellow Upper Iowa Conference tracks this past week, making themselves feel pretty well at home at those away venues. The Lady Hawks finished second and made some significant changes to their own record books on the way to a second-place team finish at the Clayton Ridge Invitational Tuesday, April 23 before topping the entire 10-team field at the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 25.

The Lady Hawks were next scheduled to take part in the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Monday, April 29 before competing in the Upper Iowa Conference Meet at Clayton Ridge Thursday, May 2. The Kee girls will then prepare for their Class 1A State Qualifying Meet that will also be held at the Edgewood-Colesburg facility Thursday, May 9, with details of those season-extending possibilities printed elsewhere on the same Sports pages in the May 1, 2019 print and e-edition of The Standard.
