Waukon Middle School Football Camp for those entering seventh and eighth grades is set for August 13-15

The Waukon High School and Middle School football coaching staffs will be hosting the 2019 Waukon Indian Middle School Football Camp August 13-15. The camp, run by the Waukon football coaching staffs with help from high school players, is a non-contact camp aimed at teaching the fundamentals of football offensive and defensive play.

Participants should plan to attend camp in shorts and a t-shirt, and should bring football cleats. Camp will take place at the middle school practice football field west of the Waukon High School parking lot.

The middle school camp for students entering seventh and eighth grades this fall will be held Tuesday-Thursday, August 13-15. The camp will be held from 8-10 a.m. each of those three days. Those planning to attend the middle school camp are required to fill out the registration form below, or one distributed to them, and return it before camp with the $20 registration fee to the address listed on the form prior to the August 3 camp deadline.

It is suggested that the following documentation be completed by Middle School Football Camp. This material definitely needs to be completed before the start of Middle School football practice Friday, August 23:

• complete an athletic physical and form (paper copy) .
• medical consent card (paper copy).
• concussion protocol testing form (paper copy).
• good conduct form (online), insurance release form (online) - should be completed electronically (cannot be printed); available with e-registration.
• heads-up concussion form (online) - completed electronically (cannot be printed); available with e-registration.

Optional Middle School football equipment check-out will be held Wednesday, August 14 after camp in the Middle School gym, 10:15-11:30 a.m. Additional information about Middle School football is available at the following site that is updated throughout the summer: https://sites.google.com/allamakee.k12.ia.us/wmsf/home.
