Hartig Drug hosts open house for transitioning corporate leadership ...

The Hartig Drug Waukon location hosted an open house event Thursday morning, August 1 that allowed members of the local community to meet three members of the Hartig family - Dick and his sons, Charlie and Wes - involved in the business and in a current transition within the company’s corporate leadership. Pictured in the photo above during the open house, left to right, are: Front row - Waukon Hartig Drug Pharmacists Samantha Collins and Erin Iverson; Back row: Waukon Hartig Drug Store Manager Casey Larson, newly appointed Hartig Drug Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Charlie Hartig, Hartig Drug Chairman Dick Hartig, and Wes Hartig, CEO of MedOne, a pharmacy benefit administration business founded by Dick Hartig. Thursday’s open house was part of a company-wide series of such events that Dick Hartig described as his “farewell tour” as he prepares to retire from his leadership role in the business, with the open house format allowing members of the communities where Hartig Drug is located to meet the next generation of the Hartig family that will now help lead the company.

“We just thought this would be a good way for the people who are carrying out our mission, as well as those they are serving, to meet the new faces leading that mission and to let them know who it is they can call upon to help them meet their needs,” Dick Hartig said.

“We are so pleased with our Waukon location,” added Charlie Hartig. “We have great people here meeting the needs of those we are dedicated to serving. They are great individuals who work together to form an outstanding team that we are so proud to have carry out our mission.”
