Norman Reeves

Funeral services for Norman Reeves, 91, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7 at the United Methodist Church in Lansing. Visitation will be held Friday evening, September 6 from 4-7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lansing.

Norman served his country in WWII in Italy. He came home and married the love of his live, Iona Dee. They were married for 70 years. Norman ran a dairy farm and also drove school bus for over 20 years.

Norman was preceded in death by two of this three children; they were only five and 10 years old at the time of their passing. Although he had many sorrows, he celebrated life with hard work, service toward others and love. Norman has eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Norman was a member of the United Methodist Church and the VFW where he served his community and fellow soldiers. Although he worked hard every day, Norman always had time to spend with friends and neighbors. He saw others as more important than himself. Norman’s favorite thing to say was, “I don’t care what anyone says about you, you and I are friends.”
