Leaf pick-up to continue Mondays and Tuesdays for next couple weeks, Parks Board seeking to fill open board position

by Alexis Johnson

The regular Lansing City Council meeting was held Monday, November 4. The meeting discussion centered around the consent agenda, parks report and street report.

The consent agenda consisted of council meeting minutes for October 21, payment of claims, parks board minutes from October 22, library board minutes from October 15, liquor licenses for The Other Place, treasurer’s report for August 2019, and Utility Rec Report for September 2019. A motion was made and seconded with minimal discussion to approve the consent agenda.

A motion was made and seconded to approve that there will be new signs placed at the entrance of Mt. Hosmer. The Parks Board is still looking for a new member to fill an open position on that board. Contact City Hall or any Parks Board member for additional information on that open position.
Curbside leaf pick-up will continue to be conducted the next couple Mondays and Tuesdays for the next couple weeks.

Lansing City Hall and Village Farm and Home on Main Street now each have drop-off locations for donations for the local LIFT (Lansing Iowa Food Trust) organization.
