Jack (John) and Bonnie (Blake) Sweeney celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary December 6. They were married at Hanover Church in rural Waukon in 1969. They have six children, Selena (Jon Hager) of Lonsdale, MN, Sheree (Gabe Suarez) of Chicago, IL, Stacie (Jim Cooper) of Waukon, Sonya (Jeremy Schneider) of Maple Grove, MN, Sacha (Ty Newman) of Minnetonka, MN, and John of Waukon.
The couple has also been blessed with 17 grandchildren and they enjoy spending time with them and attending their events, no matter which city they live in. The family will be spending time together to celebrate and renew marriage vows during the Christmas holiday.
