Eby, Kubitz exchange wedding vows in Waterloo

Jen Eby of Adel and Larry Kubitz of Waukon exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony held at the Sullivan Brothers Center in Waterloo Saturday, July 25, 2020. George Heit officiated the service, and the Blessing was performed by Pastor Steve Oden, uncle of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Cynthia Eby of Adel. She graduated from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn (ADM) High School in Adel and the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She is currently a first grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School in Waterloo.

The groom is the son of Bruce and Deb Kubitz of Waukon. He graduated from Waukon High School and Upper Iowa University in Fayette. He currently teaches Social Studies at Hoover Middle School in Waterloo.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Guests were ushered in by Adam Martin and Zach Evans, friends of the couple, and Matt Eby, brother of the bride.

Maid of Honor was Nicole Elder, friend of the couple. Bridesmaids included Kathleen Webb, Caitlin Pixler and Megan  Swanson, all friends of the couple, and Kelly Woods, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Sophie Woods and Faith Eby, nieces of the couple.

Best Man was Michael Kubitz, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Tom Winters, Cody Stilwell, Brett Heaford and Shawn Cunningham, all friends of the couple. Ring bearer was Owen Woods, nephew of the couple.

A reception was also held at the Sullivan Brothers Center following the ceremony. Tim and Sarah Waters and Jerry and Sandy Urfer served as hosts and hostesses.

The couple honeymooned in the Ozarks. They now make their home in Waterloo.
