Iowa Hunters Education Field Day and Youth Pheasant Hunt set for October 24

The Allamakee County Conservation Board (ACCB) and the Mississippi Valley Sportsman Club will be hosting a Hunters Education Field Day Saturday, October 24 at the Mississippi Valley Sportsman Club in Lansing from 8-11 a.m. This will be a field day course to complete online hunters education requirements for anyone 17 years of age or younger.

Attendees must bring with them a certificate of completion of the online Iowa Hunters Education Course. To register for the field day, go to https://register-ed.com/events/view/162870. The Allamakee County Pheasants Forever and the Mississippi Valley Sportsman Club will also be hosting a free youth pheasant hunt after the Hunters Education Field Day is finished. A separate registration is required for the youth pheasant hunt. A registration in the Hunters Education Field Day does not guarantee a spot in the youth pheasant hunt. Participants in the youth pheasant hunt may bring their own firearm. If participants do not have their own firearm, one will be provided to them. Lunch and ammunition will be provided to all participants in the youth pheasant hunt.

The Mississippi Valley Sportsman’s Club is located at 1797 Columbus Road, Lansing. Attendees are reminded to dress accordingly for the weather, as many of the day’s events will take place outside.
