Waukon FBLA students compete in Business Battle ...

The four Waukon High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students pictured above were among high school students from Colorado, Iowa and Missouri interested in business who competed in a Business Battle from October 19-30. The Business Battle featured seven business-oriented assessments conducted online: Accounting & Financial Management, Business Basics, Business Development & Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Financial Concepts, Information Technology, and Marketing, Sales and Communications.

Waukon FBLA’s four students who participated in the Business Battle are pictured above and include, left to right: Kole Welch placed seventh in the state of Iowa for Business Basics; Vivian Khan placed first in the state of Iowa and sixth amongst students from Iowa, Missouri and Colorado in Information Technology; Lilly Kossman placed first in the state of Iowa for Accounting; and Bailey Shafer placed first in the state and ninth amongst students from Iowa, Missouri and Colorado in Financial Concepts.

“These students are truly the face of future business leaders.
