After a past week on the road with more wins than losses in three games played, the Kee girls basketball team returned home this past week, hoping to continue that trend in a pair of Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) match-ups against the two largest schools in that conference. That hope proved to be no easy reality, as the two teams faced by the Lady Hawks brought a combined record of 10-1 into those contests and would remain with just that single loss between them. The Kee girls first battled Class 2A MFL/MarMac to a 53-48 loss Tuesday, December 15 before suffering a 62-49 loss to undefeated Class 3A North Fayette Valley Friday, December 18.

Holding a 2-5 season record, 1-4 in the UIC, the Kee basketball girls were next scheduled to wrap up the pre-holiday portion of their schedule Tuesday, December 22 at Clayton Ridge. The Lady Hawks will return to action after the holidays to host Waukon January 2 in a game rescheduled from November 20 that will now be part of a boy/girl doubleheader that day, beginning at 1 p.m.
