The Waukon girls basketball team played a busy schedule this week, but didn’t let a full slate of three game slow them down, putting all three games in the win column to improve to a 4-1 season record, 3-1 in Northeast Iowa Conference play. The Indians opened the week with a 61-50 victory at previously undefeated Decorah Tuesday, December 15 before closing the week with consecutive home wins, 58-42 over MFL/MarMac Thursday, December 17 and 56-34 over Charles City Friday, December 18.

The Lady Indians will now enter their holiday break from school. The Tribe is scheduled to return to action January 2 at Kee High School to play a rescheduled November 20 contest as part of a boy/girl doubleheader that day, beginning at 1 p.m. The Waukon girls will then play January 5 at Waverly-Shell Rock before hosting Turkey Valley January 7 and playing at New Hampton January 8.
