VMH, Public Health advise that those awaiting second dose of COVID-19 vaccine will receive a phone call to schedule it

Those awaiting second COVID vaccine dose will be called ... Veterans Memorial Hospital (VMH) and Allamakee County Public Health (ACPH) would like to alert the public that they will receive a phone call to schedule an appointment for their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine approximately two to seven days before they are due to receive that second dose. VMH and ACPH’s telephone numbers come up as “Unknown” on a Caller-ID system, and they are asking those who are waiting to be contacted regarding their second COVID-19 vaccination to answer their phones if they receive a telephone call identified as “Unknown”. Pictured above is Amy Sweeney, RN, who helps to administer the vaccines at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Submitted photo.

For those 65 years of age and older who want to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Veterans Memorial Hospital has an online sign-up option to join a waiting list. When vaccine is available, those on the list will be called to schedule an appointment.  Specific directions will be given as to the location of the vaccination clinic, as well as an appointment time.

FOR SECOND DOSES
