Steve and Rita (Walleser) Thom are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple exchanged vows June 27, 1992 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI.

Friends and family are invited to join them July 1 for a celebration hosted by the couple’s neices and nephews at their home at 3575 County Road 5, Eitzen, MN 55931, three miles outside of New Albin. The celebration begins at 1 p.m., with food from 2-8 p.m.

After 31 years with Quad Graphics in Pewaukee, WI, Steve, originally of Milwaukee, WI, retired to focus on farming and building the couple’s new home. Rita, originally of Lansing, formerly worked for Bruening Rock Products in Decorah and is currently employed by Kwik Star in Lansing and City Meats in New Albin.
 

Jim and Ila (Kubitz) Hammell of Caledonia, MN celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family. They were married June 18, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Church in New Albin.

The couple has been blessed with two sons, Kevin (Angie) of Rochester, MN and Steven of La Crescent, MN. They also have two granddaughters, Abbey and Anna.
 

Tom and Joyce Huinker of Fort Atkinson will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary July 1. Tom Huinker and Joyce Becker were married July 1, 1967 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Ossian. The couple has two children, Tracy (Kirk) Nosbisch and Kyle (Karen) Huinker, and they have seven grandchildren.

They celebrated with family earlier. In honor of the occasion, cards and well-wishes may be sent to 1117 227th Avenue, Ft. Atkinson, IA 52144.
 

The annual Bulman family reunion is scheduled for Sunday, July 16 at the Eitzen, MN Community Center for a noon meal and fellowship.

Attendees can bring photos for the display table and stories to share. There will be a slide presentation about the ancestral home in Little Thetford, England and relatives there.

Betsy and Alberto Whitlatch of St. Cloud, MN announce the birth of their son, Hugo Barry Whitlatch, born June 3, 2017 at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 19-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Arthur (1).

Grandparents are Barry and Lisa Fruechte of New Albin and Ron and Cathy Whitlatch of Louisville, KY. Great-grandparents are Jean Huffey and the late George Huffey of Waterville, Norma and the late Albert Fruechte of New Albin, Ruth and the late Joseph Wimsatt of Louisville, KY and Josephine and the late Elmer Whitlatch of Parkersburg, WV.
 

Shawn and Morgan Bjerke of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Waylon Robert Bjerke, born June 15, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of his birth.
Grandparents are Tom and Bev Heim of New Albin and Bob and Cheryl Bjerke of Waukon. Bernard Dougherty of New Albin is a great-grandparent.
 

Frank and Kelsey Weymiller of New Albin announce the birth of their son, Bo Franklin Weymiller, born June 15, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 19-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.
Grandparents are Chris Schwartzhoff of Prairie du Chien, WI, Jerry Baxter of Waukon and Dave and Laure Weymiller of New Albin. Great-grandparents are Don Schwartzhoff of Waukon, Frannie Fahey of Waukon and Doc and Jean Ann Weymiller of Lansing.
 

Cameron and Sara Berges of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Gavin William Berges, born June 16, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins sisters, Emma (4) and Jocelyn (2).

Grandparents are Ken and Marcia Venables and Ron Berges, all of Ottumwa, and Lyn and Danette Wood of Dallas, TX. Great-grandparents are Raymond and Nancy Berges of Julesburg, CO and Jim and Elaine Poland of Carthage, MO.
 

Brian and Ashley Schulte of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Owen Michael Schulte, born June 17, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Kole (2-1/2).

Grandparents are Jeff and Amy Sommer and Ed and Janie Schulte, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Jerry and Judy Sommer and Abigail Osterholm, all of Waukon.
 

Ashley and Devin Bugenhagen of Luana announce the birth of their daughter, Ember Marie Bugenhagen, born June 15, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 2 ozs. and measured 17-3/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sibling, Keegan (4).

Grandparents are Tina West of Monona and Darcy Barrett of McGregor. Great-grandparents are Harry and Dyane Schutte of Monona, Gene West of Mederville, Linda Bugenhagen of Postville and Donny Bugenhagen of Luana.
