Bill Moody of Harpers Ferry will be turning 80 years old September 20. In celebration of his 80th birthday, his family will be hosting an open house for family, friends and acquaintances.

The open house celebration will take place Saturday, September 16 at Portside Supper Club in Harpers Ferry from 5-9 p.m. No gifts are requested.
 

Alison and Mark West of Dubuque announce the birth of their daughter, Emerson “Emmy” Ann West, born August 17, 2023 in Dubuque. She weighed 7 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Jean and John West of Dubuque and Karen and Marty Brennan of Lansing.

Corey and Keisha Welsh of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Stetsyn Josephine Welsh, born August 18, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins brothers, Kade (9) and Waylon (2).

Grandparents are Kevin and Deb Kerr of Postville and Kevin and Teri Welsh of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Ed and Margaret Krambeer of Postville, Occo and Mary Fink of Waukon, Dan and Sarah Welsh of Waukon and Sonny and Katie Kerr of Postville.

Dean E. Jackson and Mary L. (Johnson) Jackson of Waukon are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple married August 18, 1973 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, MN.

Their family includes their children, Darcie (Jason) Kopischke of Urbandale, Joshua (Rebecca) Jackson of Mason City and Amber (Andrew) Sandvick of Navarre, FL, and their grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin, Abbie, Sean, Daniel and Sadie Kopischke, Thomas, Tabitha and Miriam Jackson, and Oliver, Ivy and Emma Sandvick.

The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family at a dinner hosted by their children at The Old Rossville Store August 5.

TJ and Abbey Criswell of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Jett Raymond Criswell, born August 5, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins brothers, Jayden (9), Ezra (7) and Sawyer (3).

Grandparents are Denise Howe of Waukon and John Clauson of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Ruth Anne Schulte of Waukon, Harold and Sandra Pearson of Waukon and Marlynn Davis of Douds.

Jerry and Marilyn Troendle of Waukon are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Jerry Troendle and Marilyn Meehan were married August 3, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Paint Rock Catholic Church, Harpers Ferry.

They will be celebrating their anniversary with an open house hosted by their family Sunday, August 13 at the Waukon Banquet Center from 2-4 p.m. There will be live music by the Toe Tappers and everyone is invited to celebrate the occasion with them.

The couple requests no gifts or cards. Prior to the open house, they will be celebrating with their family, including attending Mass and enjoying a family meal.

Their marriage has been blessed with five children: Jeff (Lisa) Troendle of Cedar Falls, Kerry (Tammy) Troendle of Waukon, Lori (Steve) Willemssen of Waverly, Jeremy (Lana) Troendle of Waukon, and Marcy Troendle of Mason City. They also have 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sally Hagensick of Waukon will be celebrating her 85th birthday August 12. She will be celebrating the occasion with a family dinner.

Reid and Caitlin Mahoney of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Lincoln Brian Mahoney, born July 28, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Claire Johnson (14) and Bentley Johnson (10).

Grandparents are Tom and Laura Mellick and Brian and Suzette Mahoney, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Tom and Mary Mellick of Waukon, Linda Sanders of New Albin, Mike Mahoney and Maureen Mahoney of Waukon, and Gene and Marcia Rose of Decorah.

Cheyenne Freilinger of Waukon announces the birth of her son, Ledger David Freilinger, born August 1, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 2 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Dakota (7), Kaysen (3) and Parker (2).

Grandparents are Catina Dahlstrom of Waukon and Kale and Joan Freilinger of La Crosse, WI. Great-grandparents are Paul Dahlstrom and Jean Ann Fulmer, both of Waukon.
