The road has not yet been kind to the Waukon girls basketball team this season, as all three of the Lady Indians’ losses so far this year have come away from home, including the two suffered this past week. The Indians opened Northeast Iowa Conference action with a 54-39 loss at Charles City Thursday, December 4 before falling to defending Class 2A State Runner-Up and currently 12th-rated Hudson, 57-46, in a game played as part of a high school girls basketball series held at Wartburg College in Waverly Saturday, December 6.
The Indians were scheduled to remain in Northeast Iowa Conference action when they hosted Decorah Tuesday, December 9 before having a week to prepare to host Class 4A 12th-rated Waverly-Shell Rock Tuesday, December 16. The Tribe will then wrap up the 2014 portion of its schedule with a Friday, December 19 home game against New Hampton before heading into the holiday break.
