The Kee girls basketball team suffered its first chink in its early-season armor in splitting a pair of Upper Iowa Conference games this past week. The Lady Hawks opened the week with a 57-14 drubbing of Postville at home Tuesday, December 9 before falling at Turkey Valley by a 54-44 count Friday, December 12 for Kee’s first loss of the season. Kee also had a Monday, December 8 non-conference game at North Crawford in Wisconsin rescheduled by winter weather to Monday, December 22.

Now holding a 5-1 season record, 3-1 in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Hawks were scheduled to host South Winneshiek Tuesday, December 16 before wrapping up their pre-holiday schedule with a Friday, December 19 road trip to Starmont and that Monday, December 22 make-up game at North Crawford prior to the upcoming break from school. The Hawks will return to action after the holiday break Friday, January 2 at Seneca, WI.
