Waukon girls cross country team places ninth at Oelwein Invitational to begin 2015 season

The Waukon girls cross country team got its 2015 season underway with a team finish near the middle of the 16-team final scoring at the Oelwein Invitational Tuesday, September 1. The Lady Indians racked up 239 points to finish ninth out of 16 teams scoring at the meet in their first-ever 5K race under the new Iowa high school distance for girls this season. The Indians were scheduled to compete in the Waverly-Shell Rock Invitational Tuesday, September 8 before taking part in the North Fayette Invitational Saturday, September 12. The Tribe will then take part in the Starmont Invitational Tuesday, September 15.
