Waukon boys basketball team defeats NFV, falls to New Hampton and Waterloo East

Another three-game slate dealt the Waukon boys basketball team a mixed result this past week, as the Indians dropped two of the three contests. The basketball Tribe opened the week with a 51-36 handling of North Fayette Valley on the road Monday, January 11 but then fell in back-to-back days of competition, 56-52 at home to New Hampton Friday, January 15 and 84-57 at Waterloo East Saturday, January 16.
The Indians currently hold a 5-7 season record, including a 2-3 mark in Northeast Iowa Conference play. The Tribe was scheduled to make up its postponed January 8 game at Charles City Tuesday, January 19 before playing Friday, January 22 at Oelwein. The Indians will then host Crestwood Tuesday, January 26 before playing at Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, January 29.
