Kee girls basketball team falls to top-rated Turkey Valley between pair of wins

The Kee girls basketball team had another considerable win streak - eight games - brought to a halt, but it took one of the highest-regarded teams in Class 1A to again pull off that feat. The Lady Hawks suffered just their second loss of the season this past week, 52-38 in a Tuesday, January 19 road game, to the same undefeated and, this time, top-rated Turkey Valley team that also owns Kee’s only other loss of the season. On each side of that loss, it was business as usual for the seventh-rated Lady Hawks, as they posted double-digit wins of 56-41 at home over Seneca, WI Monday, January 18 and 50-38 at MFL/MarMac Thursday, January 21.
The Hawks’ two wins in three games move their season record to 14-2 overall, including an 8-2 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play. They were scheduled to make up their January 8 postponed home game with Central Elkader Monday, January 25 before playing at Starmont Tuesday, January 26 and at West Central Friday, January 29. The Kee ladies will then host North Fayette Valley Tuesday, February 2 before playing at Clayton Ridge Friday, February 5.
