Kee boys track team competes in busy week of three meets at Ed-Co, home and Waukon

Kee boys track senior Ethan Walleser leads this pack on the way to a third-place finish in the 1600 meter run at the Hawks’ home invitational Thursday, April 21 in a time of 5:22.24. In the final home meet of his high school career, Walleser also scored for the Hawks with a sixth-place finish in the 800 meter run in 2:20.62 and also helped Kee’s 4x400 relay finish to sixth place in 4:15.15. The Kee boys track team wrapped up its busiest week of the season, competing in three meets this past week, including on back-to-back nights to end the week. The Hawks finished seventh in the large, 10-team Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Monday, April 18 in a meet originally scheduled for April 5. Kee then placed sixth in both its own home invitational Thursday, April 21 and at the Waukon Invitational Friday, April 22.

The Kee track boys were scheduled to compete in the Clayton Ridge Invitational Tuesday, April 26 before taking part in the Starmont Invitational Friday, April 29. The Hawks will then compete at the MFL/MarMac Invitational Monday, May 2 before taking part in the Upper Iowa Conference Meet Thursday, May 5 at North Fayette Valley in West Union. Kee will then compete for State Meet qualification Thursday, May 12 at Edgewood-Colesburg.
