Waukon boys track team finishes second at Oelwein

In its only scheduled competition of the week, the Waukon boys track team competed at the Oelwein Invitational Tuesday, April 26. Cold, windy conditions greeted the small collection of just four teams, with the Indians winning five events to help themselves to a runner-up team finish with 75 team points scored.

The Indians were scheduled to compete at New Hampton Monday, May 2 before hosting the Northeast Iowa Conference Co-Ed Meet Thursday, May 5, details of which appear in a shaded box elsewhere on these same Sports pages. The Indians will then vie for Class 2A State Meet qualification Thursday, May 12 at North Fayette Valley, details of which also appear elsewhere on these same Sports pages in a shaded box.
