Waukon boys basketball team falls in pair of Northeast Iowa Conference battles on the road, 64-38 at Crestwood and 56-41 at Waverly-Shell Rock

The Waukon boys basketball team hit the road to match up against two of the top teams in the Northeast Iowa Conference from last season this past week, falling to both after seeing strong early starts erode away later in each ballgame. The Indians suffered a 64-38 defeat at Crestwood Tuesday, December 17 before surrendering a 56-41 loss at Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, December 20.

Holding a 2-3 season record that includes a 1-2 mark in Northeast Iowa Conference play, the Indians are now on their holiday break. They will return to competition in the new year with back-to-back days of basketball, hosting Decorah Friday, January 3 before taking on Jesup Saturday, January 4 in a basketball showcase being hosted by Upper Iowa University in Fayette.
