Randall "Randy" Huffey

Randall G. Huffey, 65, of Waterville, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at his home. A visitation time to greet the family was held Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon. A memorial celebration of his life was held following the visitation time with Pastor Laura Gentry officiating.

Randall George Huffey was born January 13, 1954, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He was the son of George Waymer and Jean Audrey (Boess) Huffey. He was baptized and confirmed at Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church. Randy attended the Waterville School through 8th grade and graduated from Waukon High School in 1972 after which he attended UW Platteville for a year. Randy started his working career as a salesman for Vigortone Premix and Crows Seed Corn. He later operated his own premix company, delivering his product to many local area farmers. As time went on he started Wildlife Management Partners, an enterprise where he leased land, helped the owner improve wildlife habitat on the CRP ground, and then offered a guided hunting service on the properties. Along with his daughters he also raised and sold English Springer Spaniels.

Randy was active in sports in high school and he continued to be active although mostly in the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, trapping, and improving the land he had access to. He was also an avid gun collector and enthusiast. Some of his most enjoyable times were spent with his daughters and his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughters: Amy (Tracy) McCabe of Cresco, and Mia Huffey of Waterville; his 3 grandchildren: Jese Lewey, Bradyn Huffey-Reinhart, and Chesney McCabe; his mother Jean Huffey of Waterville; his siblings: Nancy Huffey of Boscobel, WI, Dawn Huffey of Lansing, Marcia (Bruce Frost) Huffey of Viroqua, WI, Lisa (Barry) Fruechte of New Albin, and Bradley (Eliezer Bermudez) Huffey of Washington, UT; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father George.
