Waukon bowling teams return to action after holiday break with home split with Decorah


First-year competitors lead the way ... In their first season of varsity competition for the bowling Tribe, Ouverson rolled games of 243 and 195 for a team-high series of 438 pins and Huinker bowled a 427 series consisting of game totals of 193 and 234. The Waukon bowling teams returned to the lanes Friday, January 3 after a weather-induced and holiday break from competition of nearly a month in length. That return to action saw the Indians earn a split with a nearby Decorah squad, the Indian ladies falling to the visiting Vikings by an 1887-2471 final result and the Waukon boys rolling to a 2914-2765 victory over their Decorah guests.

The bowling Indians are next scheduled to compete at North Fayette Valley Friday, January 10 before making up a Friday, December 13 home date claimed by weather Monday, January 13 against North Iowa. The Tribe will then host Waterloo Columbus Friday, January 17.
