Sara was born to Albert and Emma (Leppert) Oelberg, their ninth and last child, February 5, 1935 at home on the farm in Franklin Township, Allamakee County. She attended Red School, a country school not far from their farm home in the Yellow River Valley. She attended high school in Waukon and graduated in 1953. Sara enjoyed being the youngest of a large family and all the friends that were around with her brothers.

Sara married a childhood neighbor, a friend of her brothers, Donald Russell Enyart, youngest son of Jim and Frieda (Martens) Enyart, June 7, 1953 at Forest Mills United Methodist Church. Sara joined Don in farming and farm life, working hard and raising a large family of their own on the farm in Post Township, Allamakee County, north of Postville.

Sara was a loving and gentle mother who insisted all her children were precious. She loved to cook and bake, read, milk cows, garden and can produce, always teaching her children how to do these things for their betterment. Don and Sara were always together, depending on each other on the farm and into retirement when they moved to Postville in 1989. They were Alamo, TX snowbirds for many years, traveling there with a fifth wheel trailer, and enjoyed spending time with their friends. Many trips were taken and memories made visiting relatives and exploring America. She enjoyed visiting the Old Threshers Reunion at Mt. Pleasant, listening to Blue Grass Music and Camping.

Sara was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in 1961 alongside her daughter, and read the entire Bible. She also liked to read the Postville Herald and Cedar Rapids Gazette newspapers.
