Kee girls basketball team splits pair of UIC match-ups

The Kee girls basketball team split its pair of games this past week in battles with fellow Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) teams near each end of the league standings at this point in the season. The Lady Hawks opened the past week with a 66-22 tripling up at winless Postville Tuesday, January 19 before falling for the second time this season to recently-ranked Turkey Valley by a 51-38 final margin at home Friday, January 22.

Now holding an even 7-7 overall record, 6-5 in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Kee girls were next scheduled to play at MFL/MarMac Tuesday, January 26, make up a January 15 postponed date at Central Elkader Thursday, January 28 and play at UIC-undefeated North Fayette Valley Friday, January 29 before returning home Tuesday, February 2 against Clayton Ridge. The Lady Hawks will then host South Winneshiek Friday, February 5 before wrapping up their regular season with a home non-conference date against East Buchanan Monday, February 8.
