Kee girls basketball team sweeps Clayton Ridge and South Winn at home

The Kee girls basketball game played to an undefeated week this past week, completing a pair of regular season sweeps of Upper Iowa Conference opponents at home. The Lady Hawks opened the week pulling out a 53-48 home win over Clayton Ridge Tuesday, February 2 before rolling over South Winneshiek at home, 61-35, Friday, February 5.

Now holding a 10-9 overall record, 9-7 in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Kee girls were next scheduled to wrap up their regular season with a home non-conference date against East Buchanan Monday, February 8. The Lady Hawks will then begin Class 1A Regional Tournament play, which is slated to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 11 at Riceville, with further details of Kee’s postseason possibilities printed elsewhere on these Sports pages in a shaded box.
