New Albin fishing guide publishes his third book ...

Mississippi River Pool 9 fishing guide Capt. Ted Peck of New Albin has published his third book, entitled “More Tails, Trails & Tales with the Old Guide” (pictured at right). Peck describes the book as “selected scrawling from over 2,500 newspaper and magazine articles I’ve written dating back to 1973.” Inside its cover Peck says readers will “find more stories about the outdoor life during what may have been the pinnacle of freedom in our Grand Republic,” further describing the content of the book as “how we used to ride here along the immortal Mississippi River.”

This third book comes just shy of a year after his second book, which was the first volume of vintage outdoor columns and magazine articles Peck has written during the past 20 years and was entitled “Tails, Trails & Tales with the Old Guide”. Peck’s initial book, “Mississippi Musings with the Old Guide”, was written in 2010. He was named to the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame in early 2020 as a member under the Legendary Guide category. Submitted image.
