Letter to the Editor: Time to stop being lukewarm

To the Editor:

What a country we live in! I’m proud to be an American and always will be. But I’ve been “lukewarm,” as have been many Republicans. And I thank Biden for waking me up by pointing that out to me.

Revelation 3:15-16 states, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, I will spit you out of My mouth.” I feel that God is calling us to turn back to Him, as we have fallen into lukewarm waters.  Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.”  That is where my loyalty is, with God.

Yes, I am loyal to President Trump, he earned it. He followed through with his promises and made America great. And in just four long months, the Democrats have destroyed everything he accomplished: The wall, energy independence, peace in the Middle East, a booming economy. We’re experiencing inflation everywhere, including at the gas pumps, our intelligence is threatened, and illegals are being shipped around the country without background and health checks.

Biden “promised” to bring the country together, but all I see is a big push for racism, a lack of leadership, hypocrisy, monetary support for Russia and the Palestinians, using COVID-19 to keep everyone shut down and afraid, and so much more. On his first day in office, how many Executive Orders did he sign to reverse everthing President Trump accomplished: joining the WHO, and the Paris Agreement, a mandate to wear masks, equity not equality, and so much more.

The Dems say the Republican party believes the “Big Lie.” So I ask you, how about all of the lies Biden has told us? He is trying to go against our constitution: Free speech, the right to bear arms, the right to live, and he (and the government in office) is trying to control every aspect of our lives, from being outside (or anywhere) maskless, to what our children are being taught in school, to the right to bear arms, to have freedom of religion, speech, and the legacy of our country’s ancestors. And how about the loss of jobs, when on the first day in office, Biden killed the pipeline, although he is giving Russia money for their pipeline? Is that caring and working for the people of this country?

President Trump believes in the Sanctity of Life. I believe everyone, especially unborn babies, should be given the chance at life. We are all one race. One race, one God. All lives matter, not just the black lives, or white lives, or Asian lives, etc. All lives. And the constant rhetoric about white supremacy… God made us all in His image. He made us who we are, where we are, according to His plans.  Why is this being indoctrinated into our children, that we should be ashamed of who we are?

There are thousands of people flooding across the border. Including from 60-plus different countries, many, many children who are taken into sex trafficking, rape of women, and who knows how many terrorists? Plus, many who have COVID-19 and other serious diseases. President Trump had that under control. Now there is no control. And no one in the White House cares, or is even going down to the border, except Republicans, to see how to stop this. My heart bleeds for these children, and for this country.

We are headed down a dangerous path, of lies, censorship, government control, bias and racism, indoctrination of our children, loss of religious freedom, loss of jobs, babies being murdered before they’re born, loss of our right to bear arms, a stacked Supreme Court, and much more. I guess this might be okay for Dems, but I’m putting my loyalty and faith in God. It is a wake-up call for us, and we can no longer be lukewarm. We must pursue “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” (United States Declaration of Independence).

I urge you to join the Republican party in pursuing our “unalienable rights given to us by our Creator” before they are snatched away. Fight for our beautiful country, for our faith and for our children and their children. It is time to stop being lukewarm.
