River Bluff Daze set to return this Saturday in Ferryville

River Bluff Daze is returning to Ferryville, WI this Saturday, July 24. Full details of all the activities and opportunities planned during the event can be found at www.visitferryville.com.

A guided nature hike at Sugar Creek Bluff will kick things off at 8:30 a.m. Participants can meet at the Ferryville Boat Landing to carpool up to Sugar Creek Bluff. Hikers will see birds, wildlife, wildflowers and experience the panoramic view of the Mississippi River Valley, sponsored by the Ferryville Tourism Council.

The morning activities continue with a Farmers Market in Sugar Creek Park at 9 a.m., and at 11 a.m. the 13th Annual Antique Tractor Pull hosted and organized by the Ferryville Antique Tractor Association begins at the Ferryville Community Center, including 27 pulling classes. New this year will be a Kid’s Pedal Pull at the Ferryville Community Center, with free registration at 10 a.m. and pulling competition for children ages four to 12 to begin at 11 a.m.

A variety of food and drink will be available throughout the day by local vendors, with the focus to shift to the downtown eating establishments later in the afternoon as Music at River View Park takes place from 5-9 p.m. with “The Smokehouse” band performing country and ‘70s rock.

The annual Ferryville Vision & Promotion raffle this year features a quilt created by local quilt artist Diane Rosenthal, as well as a Kay’s Potiques stoneware bowl and a Cabela’s gift certificate. These raffle items will be drawn for at 9 p.m. with raffle proceeds benefiting the local Playground Fund.

A fireworks display will begin at dusk to wrap up the day’s activities.
