Auxiliary of Veterans Memorial Hospital membership drive ... The Auxiliary of Veterans Memorial Hospital is now holding their annual membership drive. The Auxiliary is devoted to providing the hospital and its patients and visitors with many services and needed equipment. In the above picture are current Auxiliary officers with the blanket warmer they recently purchased for the hospital’s Maternity Services Birthing Center. The Auxiliary holds annual fundraisers, such as the Women’s Health Day Salad Luncheon, the Pillow-Perk, and the Masquerade sales each fall, plus their annual membership drive each summer. The members of the Auxiliary of Veterans Memorial Hospital are actively recruiting new and returning members to join them during their annual membership drive.
The Auxiliary of Veterans Memorial Hospital is devoted to providing the hospital and its patients and visitors with many services. The Auxiliary also holds annual fundraisers, such as the Women’s Health Day Luncheon each fall, the Pillow-Perk in early November, the Masquerade sales and their annual membership drive each July. All the money the Auxiliary receives goes back to the hospital for equipment.
The Auxiliary has purchased numerous items for the hospital, including two OB Birthing Beds, an ER cart, an infant hearing screening machine, a NuStep exercise machine, an EKG machine, a mammography viewbox for Radiology, the Maternity Services Birthing Tub, two digital cameras, two ice machines, flat screen TVs for our patient rooms, a fetal heart monitor and infant warmer for OB, a noninvasive transcutaneous bilirubinometer, the 3D digital mammography machine, patient weigh beds, renovated the outpatient treatment room at the hospital, and most recently purchased a new blanket warmer for our
OB department. The Auxiliary meets monthly on the second Monday of each month, at 1 p.m., in the ICN Conference Room at Veterans Memorial Hospital with refreshments served.
Auxiliary membership dues are just $10 for active members and $15 for inactive members. Enrollment forms are available at the main entrance of the hospital. For more information, call Auxiliary President, Bev Larson-Needham at 563-568-4287.
