Waukon boys cross country team finishes fifth among other top-10 rated teams from variety of classes at Jesup Invite

The Waukon boys cross country team competed in one meet this past week, but it was one of the largest meets the distance Tribe will compete in all season with 28 scored teams hitting the course. Being ranked 10th in Class 2A themselves, the Indians battled their way among the other top-10 rated teams from a variety of class sizes also competing at the meet, finishing fifth with 158 team points.

The Indians were next scheduled to compete at the South Winneshiek Invitational Tuesday, October 5 and then compete in the Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) Meet scheduled for Tuesday, October 12 at Decorah. They are then scheduled to compete in their Class 2A State Qualifying Meet Thursday, October 21.
