The Waukon boys cross country team had just one meet on its competition on its schedule this week, and the Indians were within just a couple points of making it their very best meet of the season. Those two points were enough to keep the Indians from a win over Class 3A 14th-rated Decorah, as the distance Tribe finished right on the heels of those perennial power Vikings.

The Indians were next scheduled to compete at the Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) Meet to be hosted by Decorah at Oneota Golf and Country Club Tuesday, October 12. They are then scheduled to compete in their Class 2A State Qualifying Meet Thursday, October 21 at a site to soon be officially announced.
